Advanced Open Water Course
In the Advanced Open Water Course you will advance your skills beyond that of the ordinary diver. The prime focus' of the program are 1.) Underwater Navigation, in which you will gain skills to assist you in finding your way around a dive site without relying on a dive guide to show you the way home, and 2.) Deep Diving Concerns, so you will feel comfortable accessing dives at depths down to 100 Feet/30 meters. At Tulum Diving Center we want you to be the safest diver out there so we will also include a segment to enhance the skills of alternate air source use and tired diver procedures, that you started working on in the Open Water Course. Additionally, we will introduce you to some techniques you can use in dealing with a panicked diver or a diver that has gone missing. These are some of the skills you will perfect in the Rescue Diver Course. You might be interested in our Advanced/Rescue Combo Course.
At Tulum Diving Center we offer small class sizes of no more than 4 divers with an instructor. You will receive the most personalized, safest course of instructoin available. All of our courses are taught be professional PADI Instructors and supervised by Craig & Cathy, our two PADI Course Directors. Course Directors are Instructor Trainers, the highest level of Diving Instructor.
Study Requirement: When you register for the program we will assign you an E-Learning program that takes most divers 10 to 15 hours to complete.
Dive requirement: 2 days. This class is not pre scheduled as are some of our other courses. Please contact us and let us know when you will be here. We should be able to schedule a program to fit your schedule if given enough time. Don't wait till the last minute to schedule your course.
Cost: $549 US per diver
Multi-Diver Discount: two or more divers joining together will get a 10% multi-diver discount off the cost of the course
Prerequisites: 12 years of age and Open Water or Junior Open Water Certified (10 & 11 year old Junior Open Water Divers, are only authorized to dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet. Consequently, they cannot gain certification as Advanced Open Water Divers. They can however, complete some of the other Adventure Dives and gain the Adventure Diver Certification.) Private Advanced Class
Should you prefer a Private Course, we can arrange our program to suit your needs. We will work with you to find dates that work for you and offer an exclusive program just for you. The pricing below includes a 10% multi-diver discount off the private fee if there are two or three of you joining the private program. If there are four of you in your group, you can receive the standard pricing as outlined above.

Adventure Diver Course
The Adventure Diver program is designed for the younger kids that cannot join the deeper dives, or for any other diver that does not want ti dive deep or does not have time to complet the full Advanced Class. The Adventure Diver Course consists of three Adventure Dives, which can be completed in as little as one day. Please contact us for more information.
