Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (OWSI)
- This is part two of the PADI Instructor Development process. Once you have gained the Assistant Instructor rating you are ready to join the OWSI course. In the Full IDC they will be combined into one program, but if you like you can seperate them and do them over a longer, more relaxing time period.
- In the OWSI course we will expand on the skill development you started in the Assistant Instructor Course and work extensivily on curriculum development and instructional techniques. We will focus on presentation development and will practice teaching a full range of PADI programs.
- Once you have completed the OWSI Course you will have completed the two main components of the PADI Instructor Development process. You only need comlete the Emergency First Response Instructor Course to be ready to attend an Instructor Examination and join the ranks of the best dive instructors in the world.
- OWSI Prerequisites:
- Certified PADI Assistant Dive Instructor with current membership of PADI, or an equivalent leadership level certification with another training organization
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have proof of 60 logged dives
- Have medical clearance of fitness to dive, signed by a doctor within the past 12 months
- Hold proof of EFR training within the last 24 months
- Have been a certified diver for at least six months from any organization. To join an IE, you must have successfully completed the Dive Instructor Development Course (IDC) and be certified as Emergency First Response Instructor which we include in our IDC.

What's Not Included:
- PADI Instructor Application Fees. (payable directly to PADI at time of IE)
- PADI IE Fees. (payable directly to PADI at time of IE)
- Equipment Rental Fees. Candidates must possess or rent all necessary equipment with exeption of tanks & weights. Equipment is available at discounted rental rate.
- Accommodation (We can give you information on any level of accommodation from Hostels to top level hotels, but each candidate is responsible for arranging their own accommodation)
