Why choose Tulum Diving Center, a PADI 5 Star Facility?
It can be difficult to know where to begin when you first begin researching learning to dive. You Google dive classes and get a million responses. How do you know which ones are quality facilities, and which are guys teaching diving in their garage? Any PADI instructor can offer classes, they do not need to be affiliated with a quality dive center. They can put up professional looking websites and start selling classes and we cannot always tell the difference. You won't know they are not a quality facility till you get to their location. Unfortunately, such independents are not closely monitored by PADI for the quality of there programs until there is an accident or complaint.
On the other hand, PADI 5 Star Dive Centers must meet very rigid standards in order to attain and maintain the 5 Star rating. 5 Star Dive Centers must abide by established safety standards, as well as training standards in order to maintain their 5 Star rating. They must maintain a quality, full service dive center offering training, equipment sales and service, dive tours and more, that the certified diver is going to need in their diving adventures. Unlike the independents, 5 Star Dive Centers are monitored by PADI on a constant basis to make sure they are following established safety standards. PADI regularly removes 5 Star status from facilities that fail to continue to meet those standards. This is why when you start googling around you will find many offerings for dive training, but only a select few that can say they are PADI 5 Star Dive Centers.
At Tulum Diving Center we are proud to be a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Center. The two founders of the company have over 75 years of combined experience in teaching diving and operating PADI diving facilities around the world. They are both PADI Course Directors, the highest instructor level attainable. Unlike the independents and non-5 Star facilities with less experienced instructors, our primary focus is dive training and your safety.
