PADI Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the entry level program through which the majority of the divers in the world learn to dive. Although there are other training organizations out there, PADI is the largest and is truly a world wide certification. Once certified as a PADI diver, you will be certified to dive anywhere in the world.
At Tulum Diving Center we offer small class sizes of no more than 4 divers with an instructor. You will receive the most personalized, safest course of instruction available. You will participate in three days of enjoyable diving, in which you will become comfortable with the skills necessary to safely enjoy the underwater world. All of our courses are taught be professional PADI Instructors and supervised by Craig & Cathy, our two PADI Course Directors. Course Directors are Instructor Trainers, the highest level of Diving Instructor.
Study Requirement: When you register for the class we will assign an enjoyable E-Learning program which you can go through at home, on your own time prior to your trip to Tulum. Why waste your vacation time studying. Most of our divers tell us they spend 10 to 15 hours on the studies.
Dive requirement: 3 days Although each day's location will vary based upon the days weather and water conditions, the first two days we will usually be diving in some of the beautiful Cenotes the Yucatan is famous for. The third day we aim to dive on some of the Caribbean Reefs offshore from Tulum. We offer this program twice per week. Session 1 is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Session 2 is on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Cost: $549 US per diver Multi-Diver Discount: two or more divers joining together will get a 10% multi-diver discount off the cost of the course
Prerequisites: 12 years of age Children 10 & 11 years of age can participate in dive training, but not in this group program. Please contact us if you have younger children that would like to dive. Payment in full is required to reserve your space in our small group programs. Cancellations within 48 hours start of the program art not refundable for any reason.

Private Open Water Course
Should you prefer a Private Course, we can arrange our program to suit your needs. We will work with you to find dates that work for you and offer an exclusive program just for you. The pricing below includes a 10% multi-diver discount off the private fee if there are two or three of you joining the private program. If there are four of you in your group, you can receive the standard pricing as outlined above.
